Bell County Rescue Squad Needs Your Help

The Bell County Rescue Squad has started our annual fund raiser. Each year we ask individuals and businesses for help in continuing our services to the area through donations. The rescue squad provides a number of services to the citizens of Middlesboro, Pineville and all of Bell County. As well, we provide mutual-aid assistance to all our neighboring counties in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.

Some of those services are as follows:

          * The Rescue Squad does auto extrication for all of Bell County.

          * We perform lost person searches including body recovery in drowning situations,

             utilizing certified K-9 search/tracking teams.

          * We are equipped/trained to perform High-Angle/rope rescue of injured/trapped climbers

          * We assist Bell County EMS, Middlesboro Fire-EMS, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies with many functions.

          * We assist with all disaster and emergency situations such as flooding,  severe storms, and chemical spill evacuations.

          * We provide and are equipped/trained for trench collapse rescue.

          * Our members continuously participate in training to update their skills and learn

             new and improving techniques
